USA Pickleball and Camp Catanese Hosted Pickleball Clinic For Underserved Students At ASU West Valley Campus

Five USA Pickleball Ambassadors shared their love of the game with campers, and sent them home with balls and paddles to continue playing.

USA Pickleball Serves, the charitable arm of USA Pickleball, the National Governing Body of pickleball in the United States, partnered with Camp Catanese, a local non-profit, to host an introductory pickleball clinic for 60 underserved 7th – 12th grade students during the Camp Catanese Summer Camp on Thursday, May 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at ASU West Valley Campus.

Camp Catanese students experienced a one-hour introductory pickleball session led by USA Pickleball Ambassadors to learn fundamentals of the game and try their hand at the fastest growing sport in America.

The partnership with USA Pickleball and its charitable arm, USA Pickleball Serves aligned with Camp Catanese’s approach to engage students in new experiences, build belief in their abilities and broaden individual horizons through an activity they may not have tried before.

Students each received a paddle and ball to take home and continue to play the sport with family and friends.
